Registered Massage Therapy
Christine Gaddye is a Registered Massage
Therapist at the Regent Health Centre and has been practicing since
2000. She is registered by the
College of Massage
Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and is a member of the
Ontario Massage
Therapists Association (OMTA).
She specializes in: Deep Tissue Massage, Craniosacral
Therapy, Pre-Natal Massage and also offers Relaxation Massage
Treatments.
Some of her techniques include: Soft Tissue Release,
Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial & Connective Tissue Release, Joint
Play & Mobilizations, Craniosacral Techniques, Muscle Energy and
Swedish Massage Techniques.
Craniosacral Therapy is a hands-on method of releasing
restrictions upon the Craniosacral System (the Central Nervous
System...the brain and spinal cord and its membranes, nerves and
cerebral spinal fluid) through effective light touch techniques.
MASSAGE THERAPY is the assessment and treatment, through manipulation,
of the soft tissue and joints of the body, to prevent physical
dysfunction and pain, and to develop, maintain, rehabilitate (increase
physical function) or relieve pain. (Massage Therapy Act, 1991) Soft
tissue includes: muscles, skin, connective tissue, tendons and
ligaments.
Massage Therapy can benefit people of all ages, including, but not
limited to: infants, children, pregnant women, and the elderly.
Massage Therapy is effective in the treatment of: Tension/Migraine
Headache pain, Acute & Chronic pain, Athletic/Work-Related Injuries,
Tendonitis, Whiplash, Sprain/Strain/Muscle Spasm pain, Sciatica,
Arthritis, Discomforts of Pregnancy, Temporal Mandibular Joint
Dysfunction, and Stress Management.
Although Massage Therapy treatments are not covered under OHIP, most
progressive extended health plans cover Massage Therapy treatments
when provided by a Registered Massage Therapist. A physician's note
may be required. Contact your employer for more information. Most
Massage Therapists will require payment upon the provision of
services.

Iveta Morin RMT
Iveta Morin has been practising as a Registered Massage Therapist since
2001. Her first two years were spent working for a clinic specializing in
clients with injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents. She then
established her own clinic called Advanced Healing Massage Therapy Clinic,
where she spent a wonderful five years. In 2005, she was awarded the
Reader's Choice Award from the Hamilton Spectator for "Most Popular Massage
Therapist". Iveta is very excited to join the amazing team of therapists at
the Regent Health
Centre, where she complements her massage therapy
treatment with hot stone as well as paraffin hands and feet treatment to
free patients of their muscular tension and enhance relaxation and
well-being.
Iveta believes that Massage Therapy has more than just therapeutic
benefits. It can bring you to a "grounded place", where you can be feeling
instead of thinking. From this "place", you can rediscover deeper
connections and healing energies inside you.

There is a customers parking behind the building of 150 Locke Street South.
The entrance alley to the parking is right beside the South side of the
building. There are 2 hours of free parking along Locke Street, that is you
are feeling brave enough to parallel park.

Denis Rheault
Denis Rheault is a Registered Massage Therapist who specializes in deep
tissue massage and sports injuries. He is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan
Massage School and Teaching Clinic where he attained a thorough foundation
in subjects such as anatomy, pathophysiology, neurology and the theory and
practice of musculoskeletal and other systemic dysfunctions.
Denis individually tailors each treatment in order to meet his clients'
needs, and can include Swedish massage techniques, deep tissue
manipulations, trigger point therapy and myofascial release.
Denis is licensed by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and is
also a member of the Ontario Massage Therapists Association.
