Tai Chi with Melissa
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese internal
martial art renowned for its therapeutic effects. It harmonizes and
balances the body, mind and spirit. The traditional purpose of Tai Chi
is to return the body to its original flexibility and resilience, to
enhance its strength by stretching the muscles and tendons, to
increase circulation and to project energy throughout the body by
focusing the mind in a relaxed manner.
Melissa's classes emphasize enjoying
moving your body, while building confidence at each stage of the
learning process. This process can be challenging, but it should also
be fun and feel great. Beginner's classes will dedicate the major part
of class time to learning the Tai Chi form. I also work with
meditation techniques that will help focus your mind and give
direction to your energy. And always, whatever your level of fitness,
the classes will help you to take things to the next level of
strength, flexibility, inner peace, and harmony.
Class Schedule:
Fridays 1:10-2:40pm, All levels
Saturdays 3:00-4:30pm, Beginners
Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm, All levels
