Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy Sessions with Lynn will help you create a personalized yoga practice.

What does a personalized practice look like? Working together with Lynn you will create your own personalized yoga routine that you will practice on your own. The goal is to practice every day; however, we know that this is not always possible and you are encouraged to practice as often you can. No two practices look alike, as everyone has different needs, goals, lifestyle and available time.

Very often, the practice will not look like what we typically think a yoga (asana / physical) practice looks like. We may start with gentle movements and breath on the floor or in a chair making our way to standing, or not. We may start in standing and make our way to more restorative poses on the floor.

Typically, breathing practices, appropriate movements and stationary poses will be included. We may incorporate visualizations, vocalizations (chanting) and meditation. There could be diet and lifestyle recommendations, as well. Maybe even something like getting out into nature may be a recommendation as part of your practice.

The practice can be anywhere from 10 to 60 minutes. There could be a morning, evening, or mid-day practice or a combination.

My goal is for you to enjoy your practice, at a time and manner that suits your personality, needs, goals and lifestyle so that you can get the most from it. Your input will help me design a practice that works for you.

At the end of the first session and when there are changes to the practice, I will give you a drawing of the practice to follow from at home. I may also give you some audio recordings of meditations.

It is important to note that Yoga Therapy is not an alternative to modern medicine. It is important that you listen to advice given to you by your medical professionals.
